Dude, yeah! I did like the mythological part was a bit subtle. You technically only see one or two gods/godesses for the most part.

He wanted to keep it grounded, but I would've loved to see Hades depicted in a bit more detail, and even expanded on.

Eliminating the rational people and replacing them with roided out rah rah boys is not gonna produce the world’s finest fighting forces.

It’s fallacy to believe such mythological ideologies. It’s almost like they’re Nazis.

What specific features define this mythological creature and what architectural era should the surrounding background incorporate?

Baba's the best kind of Deadlock character, that fits a mythological/fantasy figure into its distinctly 'gaslight New York' vibe. Baba Yaga as an old lady feeding the birds is fantastic.

The mythical King Solomon as an old Jewish man playing chess in the park is also genius.

So too is our redesigned black and white shield, flanked by hippocampi – a mythological nod to our proud maritime history of building ships, inspiring trade and helping to shape the world.

Disapproving nuns painted over the risqué frescoes in Rome’s long-neglected Villa Silvestri Rivaldi for 300 years; restorers are now exposing them
For nearly three centuries, layers of plain paint and plaster hid a remarkable secret inside one of Rome’s long-neglected Renaissance villas. Now, restorers peeling back those layers are bringing colourful scenes of gods, goddesses, soldiers and mythological figures back into view, as per a report by Smithsonian Magazine. The rediscovered artwork is inside Villa Silvestri Rivaldi, a sprawling 16th-century residence just a short distance from Rome’s Colosseum. The villa was acquired by Italy’s Lazio region for €25 million in 2024, and an extensive restoration is now revealing frescoes that had been deliberately covered after the property passed into the hands of a religious institution. The murals include nude and semi-nude figures from non-Christian mythology, which reportedly offended the nuns who occupied the villa from the 17th century.

I am literally on your very first point calling them mythological. You actually don't want me to pay attention to your points and how objectively wrong they are 🤣

I guess I expect Star Wars to be mythological and entertaining. This was so grounded and I really didn’t like that.

The ideal woman isn’t a woman. She’s a girl.
An ode to mythological stomach rolls, hunting goddesses, defiant gazes and objects becoming subjects.

Hercules is trash, though. Mixing mythological traditions is kinda lazy. And there's really nothing "kid friendly" about Greco-Roman lore. It's sanitizing for sanitizing's sake.

Talking about colonoscopies is funny because most people are weird about the butt stuff aspect, whereas I become a mythological beast of destruction if I have to go longer than five hours without food.

That movie felt like a fever dream if you happened across it by accident. My ex husband first saw it at his BIL bachelor party, he was hammered and uncomfortable and then that movie came on cable. It had like mythological status to him

Non-Filipinos searching up the origins of the mythological creatures featured in Forgotten Island only to find out they're all fucking scary is hilarious 😭😭😭

They either curse you, kill you, eat fetuses, eat pregnant women or eat you entirely.

All that was missing from the ending was Nidhogg spitting poison in Loki's eyes to REALLY nail home the mythological influence of Loki's fate being "Tied up in the roots of the world tree and tortured for all the bullshit catching up with him."
