My wife went to local pharmacy this morning for her flu jab.
Pharmacist: ‘we don’t have you on our list for today’
Wife: ‘I booked on the NHSApp- here’s the confirmation’
Pharmacist: ‘oh the App doesn’t link to our system -you need to book directly with us’

Hey @england.nhs.uk this is what the French Doctolib app can do, alongside enabling me as a patient to message my doctor, upload medical document and receive prescriptions electronically.

As a patient with a chronic illness this is invaluable for me - why not look at it as a feature for the NHSApp?

Dr Zubir Ahmed says Glasgow South West lacks an NHS app and digital connectivity, and urges the Scottish Government to adopt digital quality markers.

"I'm not vaccine sceptic... I'm vaccine lazy."

The RAC app tells you exactly when your MOT is due - so why isn't managing your vaccinations just as easy?

Let's see if I'm wrong:

Before rollout

"NHS England to speed up rollout of app AI triage tool to reduce GP demand"

After rollout

"GP demand spikes, patients sick to fucking death of AI and quite reasonably want to see a human GP"

The patient's view of blood test results in the #NHSApp is *really* terrible. It's easy to see how it got like this - it's come via a legacy lab message through a GP system, into an app.

But Claude for Chrome flawlessly extracted the results from 10 sub-pages into JSON and Markdown. One prompt.

I have been trying to use the form here: www.nhs.uk/contact-us/n... to complain that the NHS App does not respect the system dark/light mode, which is appalling. However, the form doesn't work! It complains of invalid characters in the description. There are not.

First time I've ever had "Repeat" medication - so using the NHSApp in this was is a novelty to me.

I admire the NHSApp team for the User Research work being undertaken, a true patient centred approach.

Not resting on their laurels.

Great to see in the #NHSApp that my Father-in-law's surgery has processed his discharge from the hospital, and coded the problems and changed medication.

No need to pester and follow up to ensure I can order his meds when required.

Giving patients info is key to helping them

I still use the NHSapp because I can see which meds have been issued and when, far quicker than the pharmacy team can respond. So I can sort problems sooner.

Just got Mum and Dad transferred from the NHSApp to the @Weldricks pharmacy app - same ordering functionality as NHSApp but the Pharmacy team can message them when their meds are ready, and much more.

Helps the Pharmacy team too.

The NHSapp is good, but I don't think it is the saviour of the NHS or primary care.
