I had nailfold capillaroscopy done here in Berlin! The doctor was very irritated that I was asking for it as a differential diagnostic for MECFS, which he clearly didn't believe in, and yet he did report changes and "inexplicable" things in my results.

so much novel longcovid science echoes in the more dreaded parts of what i came to learn about possible trajectories following my 2016 lupus diagnosis. there’s no going back from some of this damage. it’s just not worth it, especially when a mask can be all you need to significantly reduce the risk.

Nailfold video-capillaroscopy (NVC) study of 76 dermatomyositis (DM) pts - 74% had anomalous NVC patterns (diminished density, abnl morphology). NVC abnl pts had more Raynaud's, and cluster 1 were more likely to develop ILD.
