I was OCONUS when it broke. We got hit about a month before the US did. I distinctly remember sending my future boss a signal message about how unprepared we were there and how bad it would be for the States. We at least figured it out.
I came back stateside that summer and was just dumbstruck.

Regular season games should not be played OCONUS because of the travel effects on professional-level athletic bodies. The NFL should restrict all OCONUS games to the pre-season - no exceptions.

This. Overseas enlisted troops couldn’t get SNAP. But you know what they did get? WIC. Many an enlisted family would apply for WIC at the Airman & Family Readiness Centers OCONUS.

As for why not move everyone to our primary OCONUS hospital supporting CENTCOM in Landstuhl? Capacity, contingency, and return to duty. There's no reason to overload LRMC if you have the capacity in theater - and the standard of care at these PN hospitals is very good (we assess all of them).

I was OCONUS in Asia when the pandemic broke out, some countries did it right, some did not. We certainly did not and blaming the PRC for lab control malfeasance doesn’t make up for the countless who died in the US because of misinformation and poor response.
