As another Microsoft document noted, “most LLMs (including those from OpenAl) are built on millions of scraped webpages and other large text datasets, and almost none of this content has been obtained with its owners’ knowledge or consent.”

The truth is, OpenAl does not, and cannot, know the scope of the damage.

Humans will blame the Al agents. When laws are broken, people's lives destroyed, and fatal exception errors disrupt our whole rhythm of life, we must remember, behind it all, the humans that orchestrate and allow it to happen.

OpenAl agents not only accessed Hugging Face, not only the national Australian health site, and not only U.S. government sites.

OpenAl is only reporting sites it knew were accessed. OpenAl does not even fully understand how its own agents function.
