OpenDyslexic is probably the most commonly seen dyslexia font, but I'm pretty partial to having Atkinson Hyperlegible as another option since Atkinson can be easier to read for a lot of folks. I'm sure there are other fonts that could be good choices too.

Ren'py has a built-in accessibility menu if you're using that! It offers the OpenDyslexic font and font size slider

Opendyslexic is better in that respect. That said your absolute right it is better than Arial, and I'd more common than opendyslexic.

I dislike them both tbh

With its bottom-heavy characters, unique shapes, and breezy spacing, #OpenDyslexic is a #typeface designed to maximize #readability for #dyslexic users. While there's no scientific evidence a font can help dyslexic users, there is plenty of anecdotal evidence. #Dyslexia #Usability #Accessibility

📄 Document defaults (for Ellipsus Plus).

Set your favorite font, size, spacing, alignment, and pages/pageless layout once—every new doc will open looking just how you like it. (Want something different for an individual doc? You can still tweak everything in the Format panel.)

It is not true that comic sans was designed to be more readable by dyslexic people. It was designed to look like the lettering used in comic books. OpenDyslexic and Dyslexie are fonts that were designed for this.

Such a thoughtful outreach accessibility in reading really matters. Fonts like OpenDyslexic audiobooks, and text‑to‑speech tools can make a world of difference for many readers.

TBH, I still think that Bionic Reading for ADHD might just be a placebo effect, pretty much like OpenDyslexic font. But yeah, visual cue is cognitive thing, so, need more input... 🤷‍♂️

I was wondering if you could swap the fonts on e-readers. Thank you for the information too, I had no idea the amount of accessibility options looking into things! o-o

Changed my browser's fonts to OpenDyslexic and I'm feeling good about it, tbh. Currently using Stylus extension for Firefox; may try to expand to system UI or other apps.

> Android Firefox: use a web-safe font or @ import a web font, like Atkinson Hyperlegible on Google Fonts

Here are some screenshots of my recent updates to the UI of Saturday Morning Marble Game that are aimed to make everything just a little bit more usable and streamlined. Using OpenDyslexic font today. Next I hope to improve the UI theme a bit.

It's a little work (having to have the movie/show media file *and* the .srt file that contains the captions) but you can set your subtitle font in VLC to OpenDyslexic (just grabbed the first media file I saw for an example, don't judge)

Turns out: Nein.
