223. My fave of the old operating systems is Macintosh System 7.1 with a few choice extensions and updates like OpenTransport 1.3. It can still connect mount my modern Synology as an afp volume.

and yes I love retro computing bcuz its inherently horny and stuff like this still fucks me up bcuz GeoPort is really really understated and OpenTransport absolutely made it FUCK and OpenTransport as a thing was so bananas and over the top it made TrumptWinsocket look like a used condom

Problem: OpenTransport CFM error when booting system.
Possible cause: I have the wrong version of AppleShare installed, a Realtek NIC in my Mac, and have an AFP share set to remount automatically.
Solution: Reorder INITs so Sonnet and MetroNub load first. Upgrade AppleShare.

Is your Mac set up with MacTCP? (OpenTransport is not supported) Test your internet connection and if that works then launch Apple Internet Router. 🤞 If that doesn’t work share the system version you are running etc.

Une conséquence moins visible du transfert du #TER K1+ Marseille-Nice du réseau #TERZou! #PACA à Transdev au 29 juin est que cette liaison a disparu des données #GTFS #SNCF à cette date.

Totally off the cuff I would guess you get a huge performance benefit due to reduced interrupt load?
I tried several 100base-TX and 1GbE cards in my PCI PowerMac, and none of them could get beyond ~1.2MB/s FTP transfers in MacOS 7.6 with up to date OpenTransport.

holy shit talk about a straggler liek wait up bcuz Rhapsody used 44BSD network stack meaning someone would have had to port OpenTransport from OS 9 to OS X and then port it again after depreciating it in 10.4 liek ideally it would have been blueboxed but REWRITING IT?! WHAT?! WHAT?!
