One of the surprises of the Postal Museum in DC involves a dog named Owney. As you walk in there’s a statue. Inside you see a display about how he’d board postal trains in the 1890s and pick up tags and medals for his collar. And then you get out of a replica train, and there’s Owney. Stuffed.

Hard to think of anything with a lower global want-to-see factor than a biopic of a bloke associated with American sport. I presumed Madden was either a gaslighting psycho-thriller or the story of Leeds-born gangster Owney Madden who ran the Cotton Club. Both films I'd rather watch.

Tolle neuwertige Jacke von owney (meine Lieblingsmarke) über einen gewerblichen Verkäufer bei ebay ergattert. Einziger Nachteil: für die derzeitigen Temperaturen zu dünn.
Aber sie ist toll und ich musste auch bei der Farbe mal keinen Kompromiss eingehen (ich mag ja knalliges).

We're planning on watching The Cotton Club this weekend. The owner, Irish American gangster, Owney Maddens (played by Bob Hoskins) was born in Leeds & spent time in Wigan & Liverpool, & moved to the US at age 11.
He apparently spoke with a Northern English accent all his life. Quite hard to imagine.
