A day measured in no PacePoints 😮

After being driven home from my dental surgery, I then slept for 4 hours...

Strong drugs those painkillers and sedatives 😮

At last - almost 5 months since my dental infection began - the offending molar tooth 🦷 has been removed 🎉

Am going to have to pace myself really carefully this Monday.

A few unexpected periods of exertion before the school day has even started.

Approaching my pace-setting marker 👇 and one-fifth of my daily PacePoints before even starting my full teaching day.

My gym sessions are now twice-weekly 🙏

Flexibility, Strength & Cardio.

Fewer than three #VisibleHealth PacePoints used despite (carefully paced) weight training and two runs on the treadmill - one minute of which was sprinting 🙂

As someone with #LongCovid I have to Pace myself constantly.

Over the past TEN DAYS, I have focused on keeping my heartrate particularly low. This has been made possible by my Easter Break from teaching 👇

My #VisibleHealth PacePoints (PP) use has dropped from around 15-17 PP down to 5 PP per day 👇
April 12, 2026 at 7:08 AM
So I've checked my #VisibleHealth pacepoints 👇

Only half (12) of today's allocation of pacepoints used so far 👍

But my #KiActiv movement data reveal what my wobbly legs were starting to tell me: I've just exceeded my nominal 60 daily minutes of 'Moderate' movement.

Will go Slow-Mo. this evening!

Exactly four years since my life changed

The SARS-C0v-2 virus gave me C0vid

The C0vid gave me blood clots

The clots gave me a pulmonary embolism

The lack of sound medical advice made me over-exercise in an attempt to 'clear the clots'

This gave me disabling #LongCovid

Today I've RESTED

1:30pm in Central London

6000 steps already walked (5km)

Just 1.5 PacePoints used 😀

Up and out early for #MothersDay morning and a lovely coastal walk.

Took everything slowly. Walking with partner's elderly mum helped!

I've sometimes used 2 PacePoints before leaving home in the morning 😄

9 #Visible_health PacePoints in hand!

I have an earlier lunchtime today, so I've only taught 4 groups this morning (my tutor group, a Year 7 class, a Year 8 group & my Year 11s)

Nevertheless, it's good to see that I have #Visible_health PacePoints in hand: 2 PacePoints behind today's PaceSetter 🙏

Makes sense: Had great HRV on waking 👇

Strolling slowly around the area of Stratford-Upon-Avon where I'm staying.

Very slowly. Not because I can't move any faster, but because I know that it won't take much to over-exert.

Workload was so high that I started working before 5am this morning.

Then drove 4 hours after work 🙏

Let's see how this pans-out:

I haven't exceeded my daily #VisibleHealth PacePoints budget of 27 for over a month now, and during the holidays I have much more control of my movements...

Just re-set my daily budget to 20 PacePoints, to encourage myself to pace even more carefully 🙏

Now back on track to staying within today's Pacepoints budget 🙏
September 15, 2025 at 5:31 PM
A perfectly chilled day.

Spent the past 45 minutes making a lovely meal for me and my partner.

0.2 PacePoints 😄 - Less than 1% of my daily budget!

It's 6pm and I've only use 3.5 #visible_health PacePoints 🙂

Good timing, as days don't get much busier than today...

Getting up earlier than usual, so starting to use-up PacePoints and my Movement Quota earlier.

Full teaching day including moving between classrooms and Physics labs.

Union meeting after work.

Orchestra rehearsal until 10pm!

7-hour day at work (teaching) and yet I'm more than 13 #VisibleHealth PacePoints behind today's Pacesetter.

Exertion avoided all day 😮 and band rehearsal is going to be even more enjoyable than usual.

Good times.

Taught three 1-hour lessons today.

Fewer than 5 #VisibleHealth PacePoints (PP) used - and I'm almost twelve PP behind today's Pacesetter.

I've reached the half-term break on-top of my Long Covid #PEM symptoms 🙏

Nine days of Rest and Relaxation await 😊

3:30pm.

Covent Garden, 3 cafes, 2 pubs, 2 churches, Soho Square (gardens) and the National Portrait Gallery all visited.

Very slow walking on level ground and sitting regularly on my stick-seat.

Under 3 #VisibleHealth PacePoints used and feeling very relaxed with feet up 🙏

A 9-hour, but well-paced first day back at work (school) today.

My morning stability ( #VisibleHealth) was Good and I generally avoided Exertion during my INSET (training and preparation) day.

More than 5 PacePoints behind today's ( #VisibleHealth) Pacesetter and I'm feeling great 👍
