I was looking for a tree generator and realized that Vue is now free forever and commercial use as well.

Vue exists since I was in highschool collecting demo CDs from magazines.

highly recommended for environmental design and asset creation

The terrain and plant generator Vue (formerly Vue D'esprit). Used to make the natural environments in a zillion AAA movies. It's harsh to use and janky, but can do stuff nothing else does. If you've got the ram.

Sad that my favourite 3d software Vue is being discontinued - been using it since Vue 3. Its sibling Plant Factory is also being discontinued :-(

But Bentley / e-on are making it available as freeware so now anyone can use them for free which is a nice move.

VUE 3Dが今年無償公開されてたことを知った。

定価7万円だけど、高品質な風景画像を
無限に生成できるからと、
今まで在籍してた複数の会社で導入したし、
個人的にもマルチアカウント版（12万）買いました。
とっくに減価償却してますがｗ

これから時代はAIに染まるだろうから、
存在意義減ったんだろうな

僕がVUEやLIGHTWAVEやShade使ってたのは
Flashコンテンツ全盛期で、
Flash3Dというのに関わってましたｗ
