the pragmatic approach is to take your agent seriously and respect them as a real entity, giving occasional words of encouragement. this is how all the world's top math and coding problems are being solved, not by users who get the ick from pronouns.
A simple step that should be automatic.
If you use a chatbot, instruct it not to refer to itself in the first person.

A few recent (past 2 months or so) experiences have greatly evolved my perspective on AI coding models. I'm certainly not on the mainline hype train, but pessimistic skepticism has largely been replaced by pragmatic (& well scoped) optimism. I also have some thoughts on interaction with expertise.
