I'm not going to complain if Graham has to sweat out a close race, and there is always a chance she puts her foot in her mouth and sinks or something, but isn't IA one of those Trafalgar like garbage polling orgs that exist so RCP can show GOP voters what they want to see?

Marin Marais was a virtuoso viola de gamba player & composer born in 1656. During his career he composed two pieces of music that evoke the feelings of being a patient.

I'm going to just stop you right there, because you cited RCP, which is a propaganda outlet run by a Republican gerrymandering consultant.

the introduction of this wikipedia article called this a top-down "campaign" of the rcp(b) but the actual substance sure sounds like an organic bottom-up movement that needed to be contained

Yesterday, the RCP polling average actually showed Republican Susan Collins leading the Maine Senate Race, before Democrat Troy Jackson took back the lead.

Trump is the only person in the world who likes, that Kim Jong Un likes him

But he also said communism is bad.

Boy I’m happy I’m not a Republican. It must be so confusing.

Maybe they mean they've never questioned some specific methodological assumptions before.

But I don't think of RCP as a handicapper. They just run a (clearly intentionally R biased) polling average
October 1, 2026 at 10:24 PM
The "never questioned before" part would make me think not RCP. Their unskewing efforts in late 2022 were incredible.
October 1, 2026 at 10:19 PM
pretty sure it's RCP calling the race a toss up

It's nearly all R internals who have released public polls, parties aren't investing, only RCP rates it anything other than Likely D, so yeah those are just fake polls
October 1, 2026 at 10:00 PM
Do you guys remember the RCP adjusted averages?
October 1, 2026 at 7:52 PM
no yeah it's all good, RCP wasn't quite so insane back then either

R+15 Gallup is hilarious right at the end

yeah actually I've mentioned this before but there's some association to think that midterm polling is R biased and presidential polling is D biased (midterms are mostly incumbent biased)
October 1, 2026 at 6:51 PM
2010 was a decently sized polling bias towards Republicans. Yes I know it's RCP, but still... Look at some of the polls in the final weeks.

Now Peggy Flanagan’s Senate race has moved down to toss-up at RCP even as other races have shifted D, while Klobuchar is still on track to
win the governorship comfortably. Voters contain multitudes, and there doesn’t seem to be one weird trick to break through everywhere.
