Nearly a decade ago, Raspberry Pi showed that it's possible to cram a fully functional computer into a tiny package that's about the size of a stick of chewing gum or about the size of a USB flash drive. In time since the first Raspberry Pi Zero launched we've seen a bunch of updates as well as third-party boards with a similar design but different hardware.

The Orange Pi Zero 3W is a tiny computer that measures just 65 x 32mm (2.56" x 1.26") and which bears a striking resemblance to a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W. But Orange Pi's version supports far more RAM, faster WiFi, and an FPC interface for PCIe 3.0 x1 add-ons. Powered by an Allwinner A733 processor, the Orange Pi Zero 3W supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5-4800 memory.

The Radxa Cubie A7Z is a single-board computer with an Allwinner A733 processor that combines ARM Cortex-A76 CPU and Cortex-A55 cores with an Imagination GPU and a low-power RISC-V core, and an NPU that delivers up to 3 TOPS of AI processing performance. It's also really small and really cheap. The little computer is about the size of a stick of gum (or a Raspberry Pi Zero) and prices are expected to start at $15 for a model with 1GB of LPDDR4 RAM, although higher-price models will also be available with up to 16GB.

The RootBoard is a handheld computer kit with a 3.5 inch color display, a 70-key thumb keyboard complete with function keys, and a built-in speaker plus what looks like a decent set of ports for such a small computer. RootBoard designer Dian Lieu is running a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the device with reward levels starting as low as $115. But you'll need to supply your own battery, microSD card, and... computer. That's because the kit doesn't have a built-in CPU, memory, or storage. Instead it's designed to work with a Raspberry Pi Zero, Zero W, or Zero 2 W.

PC accessory maker UGREEN already sells a desktop USB charger that delivers up to 300W of total power over four USB-C ports and one USB-A port. But it can't send more than 140W to any single device. Now the company has introduced an upgraded model that offers up to 240W of power to a single device, and up to 500W when you use it to charge multiple devices.
