Running my MV in dad's back garden this evening, Ravensden (VC30). It's sheltered from the wind and rain, so nothing to lose. @vc30moths.bsky.social #MothsMatter

Just popped my head out of the kitchen door for no particular reason to be greeted with this fabulous Oak Eggar female alighting at the base of one of dad's garden plants. Ravensden (VC30). #TeamMoth

My overnight trap at my dad's pad in Ravensden (VC30) produced potentially 2 new hectad records of Oncocera semirubella (Rosy Knot-horn) and Macdunnoughia confusa (Dewick's Plusia). Otherwise an uninspiring set. @vc30moths.bsky.social #TeamMoth

Well that's possibly 3 new tetrads in VC30 Bedfordshire for Saturnia pavonia (Emperor Moth) with 3 males coming in quickly to the EMP lure in each tetrad in the Ravensden area. ##TeamMoth

The weird pod they showed as somewhere to stay in Bedfordshire is in Ravensden (great name for a village) I’ll be covering a great ghost story from Ravensden in the next two episodes.

18 species to 80W MV at my dad's last night, Ravensden (VC30). I also found a vacated Small Eggar larval nest while out birding. #TeamMoth

Speaking of which, I was delighted to find and scope from a distance an occupied Yellowhammer nest in a nearby country lane. Happy days! #UKBirding

I don’t want to hear another goddamned thing about billboards that haven’t been up in Harrison since 2017.

This horseshit in Ravensden takes the fucking cake.

The gardens and orchards of the #HomeCounties are also a hotbed of devil cults and village curses. The hideous apparition at #Ravensden. The unholy church at #Thunbridge. The hammer slayings at #Denham. The death omen at #Naphill. And many chilling tales.
