To restore democracy and create a fairer, safer, greener world, we need massive taxes on the ultra-rich. As in the 1940s. People get confused about this. The main purpose of such taxes is *not* to raise revenue. The point is to stop the few dominating the many. It's an essential democratic measure.

I think is becoming clear that the elite want all ‘worker bees’ and the disabled gone globally, so they can use the planet as their plaything. But follow the money, as you suggest. It’s all funnelling upwards.

Just a reminder why taxing capital gains is a good idea: as asset prices explode across rich economies, the CGT is the closest thing Australia has to a proper wealth tax. Why should people making money off shares or investments pay a low rate of tax than a nurse or a plumber?
