Given that the notwithstanding clause is actively being used by players to bypass the Charter of Rights, I am tentatively in agreement on adding limits.

I voted. After hearing PP say he WILL use the “notwithstanding clause” to defy the SCOC, and seeing what’s happening in the U.S., because of the very same defiance, I know I did the right thing for my country. Every 🇨🇦 needs to think of that. You have my vote. Go get em…eh!❤️

Using the clause to preempt the SCOC is what's most troubling to me. It means that the, in the view of the party in power, the legislation violates the charter but they are going ahead with it anyway.
