#SCXRD
Really happy to have this one out! 😁In this paper, we show that metal complexes can be integrated into into B←N frameworks. We linked trinuclear Au₃(pyrazolate)₃ complexes with boronate esters and obtained highly crystalline (SCXRD!), adaptable 1D and 2D polymers. Have a look! 👀

Not for nothing, getting SCXRD, Echem, NMR, UVvis, and EA for air sensitive compound is quite an effort. And usually you do a family not just one. For an IC paper I had some 4 crystal structures for extraordinarily sensitive compounds. And growing acutely air sensitive crystals blows

Please check if it matches our recently reported structure: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.... - this is only the third time someone reports on MIL-88A SCXRD data and the synthesis procedures strongly impact its actual structure.
Elucidating the Structure and the Impact of Synthesis Methods on the Flexibility of the Metal‐Organic Framework MIL‐88 A (Fe) During Water Capture
MIL−88 A is first described in 2004 and consists of a trinuclear iron cluster and fumaric acid as a linker, forming a porous structure. The flexibility of MIL−88 A upon uptake of water, with an expan...

I really love it when a fresh batch of scXRD structures drops from our collaborators at @uniofjyvaskyla.bsky.social! N–Cl bonds have become our group's workhorse and the structs allow finding really neat trends, here's a snippet from our 2025 paper. #chemchat #chemsky

Got to help the new PhD student with their first crystals yesterday, although I did have to point out they probably won't see diffraction quite like this every time they grow crystals! #chemsky

## Hyper-Resolution Crystal Orientation Mapping via Spatially-Correlated X-ray Diffraction Tomography and AI-Powered Phase Retrieval
**Abstract:** Crystal orientation variability significantly impacts material properties across diverse applications, including semiconductor manufacturing, catalysis, and energy storage. Conventional X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques struggle to achieve high-resolution 3D mapping of crystal orientation due to limitations in data acquisition and computationally intensive phase retrieval. This paper introduces a novel methodology utilizing spatially-correlated X-ray diffraction tomography (SCXRD-T) coupled with an AI-powered iterative phase retrieval algorithm to achieve sub-micron resolution crystal orientation maps.

The lattice DMF are occupied in the pores of the MOFs. However due to the these molecules and metal disorder in the SBUs, the refinement of the SCXRD data was very challenging. Isolation of the porous MOFs in bulk is still very difficult. Further optimization studies are planned.
