OK so Exeter is lovely, and I could actually imagine a segway being used here, except that culturally the preference is very clearly “let’s use whatever technical knowledge is at our disposal to make motorcycles louder”
The two beliefs of Dean Kamen that I am aware of- “the Segway makes sense for urban travel” and “we will be able to make scientists into rockstars in the eyes of society”- are somehow even more farcical after spending time in Manchester, NH
