I did get a kick out of the people being like "is that a red/SIPR line??!?" which like sure, bad/dumb, but also other than the mess vanilla SIPR is the least sensitive thing you could potentially compromise on a SSN lol

If you want a fun-but-dumb fact about why DOD probably considered this info SECRET but the ODNI guide would put it at TOP SECRET, it's because large parts of DOD (particularly in the field) only have access to SIPR, which is only cleared up to the SECRET level. So it's really SECRET by necessity.

I also don't understand this given it's not *that* hard to set up a secret collateral vault (I'll concede SIPR access is probably more of a pain in the ass than it should be) and also the number of small businesses who have a legitimate need for SCI is.......very small

It probably also helps that A2 owns the JWICS infrastructure here while CS owns NIPR/SIPR, and A2 is competent while 2 CS is not......but it's mostly all the AI
