As more people arrive here: #SUNCT is a rare headache disorder causing intense, daily, short-lasting attacks of severe pain. In my case up to 180-xxx attacks per day atm, since I’m 8yo. It’s effed up and caused a lot of problems in my life but I won’t give up. +: f this “pain makes you harder” shit

Ah I see people are wondering about my #SUNCT hashtag. Was describing what it is already in that post. It just affects a few hundred people across the world so it’s no wonder I’m the first one here to make an hashtag of it. Kind of like a starting point for community, I hope!

Om ni vill läsa på lite om mardrömmen, varsågod. Jag har tur som har fungerande mediciner och fick gå i smärtterapi. Känner av smärtan varje dag men den är hanterbar.

Man kan läsa om min huvudvärk och få lite nightmare fuel. Jag har de bättre än många andra som har skiten pga har bra mediciner, gått bra smärthanteringsterapi och får vård av specialistavdelning på Karolinska.

First SUNCT style headache in a long time. Eye, eardrum, left side facial pain. And some tearing. I remember one stretch of this with @gemmafiles.bsky.social 's EXPERIMENTAL FILM. Must have gazed at Lady Midday.

Last time I saw Living Colour, Fishbone & Bad Brains on stage together was also in Brooklyn at AfroPunk 2016. Was incredible.
Brooklyn Bowl has announced a benefit concert to be held for Bad Brains frontman Paul “HR” Hudson, with proceeds going to support the legendary musician in his continuous fight against SUNCT syndrome. HR (“Human Rights”), now 68 years old, has struggled against constant debilitating headaches since his 2014 diagnosis, preventing him from touring with his massively acclaimed band and requiring costly medical intervention. With this, the artist’s closest friends and collaborators have called on the community for support, which arrives next Sunday in the form of an all-star engagement.Presented by producers Kentyah Fraser and Norwood Fisher, the concert will feature a staggering ensemble of members of Bad Brains, Fishbone and Living Colour, collectively termed Living Fish Brains. Beyond the supergroup, the event will host special soundsystem sets from Subatomic Sound System featuring Scratchy, as well as a set from essential NY turntablist and educator DJ Spooky; & more surprise guests.

The closest thing is SUNCT or some form of neuralgiform headache. Doesn't seem to be as incapacitating as I have heard migraines are-- "You would know" and very specific symptoms. I used to call them "tiny migraines" but migraineurs disabused me of this.

Oh, just visited Dr Google 😁 both Migraine and Cluster are primary. Sorry, I’m clearly confused. 🫤 I thought I was told CH and SUNCT ( my original diagnosis) were classed as primary because there is no external influence. Where as Migraine does.
