To support transparency and improve reusability of the analysis & evaluation of the #ScenarioCompass ensemble, we started an open-source Python package with a diagnostics utility, historical vetting, sustainability & feasibility flagging, and climate categorisation.

Half a year ago, we released the first #ScenarioCompass ensemble of emissions pathways, building on the #IPCC #AR6 database and compiling more recent scenario publications.

Most importantly, we added feasibility & sustainability indicators to provide context.

Now we released an update: #SCI v1.1 🎉

The #ScenarioCompass Initiative will address these concerns through annual, community-driven of releases well-vetted scenario ensembles, encouraging participation of more modeling teams, and facilitating better use of these mitigation scenarios though better analysis and data visualization tools.
