#SetiAstro
When skies are cloudy, process old data. I have been playing with the SetiAstro standalone tools and really liking the results. This is a redo of Dark Shark Nebula using SetiAstro Statistical Stretch. It easily brought out more faint detail especially in the trailing dark nebula. #Astrophotography

The python engine seems to be making good progress.
Here's an example of a python script in Siril, running Statistical Stretch's SetiAstro script.

Some of last night's data on NGC4236. This is the first time I've imaged it and I was mainly trying to get a baseline for my expectations. This was about 3.5 hours of capture time and I'll definitely be coming back to it! #Astrophotography #Siril #SetiAstro #GIMP

Delighted by the performance of new “free” software #cosmicclarity #setiastro. As an expt while i take a break from observing i reprocessed an image i took last year of #caldwell30 galaxy group with only 40mins exposure time. It has made a significant difference in sharpness 🤩 #astrophotography

Setiastro tools are really good👍

Really enjoying putting recent images through new free toolset from #SetiAstro called #CosmicClarity- a poorman's version of #BlurXterminator - it sharpens stars a treat! A great addition to @SiriL_Official augmentation workflow but needs a bit of careful handling #astrophotography

The #Sun, one year ago. #Astrophotography 🔭 #Coronado SolarMax II DST Hydrogen-alpha telescope with #ZWO #ASI432 monochrome camera from #SharpCap, processed in #SetiAstro and #GIMP. The left is the base monochrome image, the right is false color "Sun orange." Which do you like better?

NGC772 in Aries, taken from Liverpool, amazing that the SETIAstro script identifies 43 quasars in the image!

The Whirling Dervish Nebula and the Banana Nebula.

Captured on the Vespera II in multi-night mosaic mode over 27 1/2 hours with a DB filter. Edited in PixInsight with Xterminator and SetiAstro plugins. #astronomy #astrophotography

So many of these beautiful nebula have shockwaves a bit further out than the bright core. If you look closely you can see some around the #DumbellNebula. #LAAS #Astrophotography #Astro #Astrophoto #ZWO #ASI #Celestron #Pixinsight #SetiAstro

Clear again last night. Having a good run lately so sleep deprived. This is NGC2359 (Thor's Helmet) with my F4 Newtonian. Going to try again tonight with a different filter. See ALT text for details.

Not sure that the #JellyfishNebula actually looks like a jellyfish, but it's amazing all the same. If you look closely there is a layer of blue from the Oxygen over the Red from the Hydrogen. #Astrophotography #LAAS #Astro #Nebula #ZWO #Astrophoto #Pixinsight #SetiAstro

One day maybe, I will translate this JS code in Python for having cursors in Siril too 😜

This is the output from last nights #astrophotography session. The Rosette Nebula. A bit tricky to process due to a light haze from the humidity. Colour calibrated on the left, uncalibrated on the right. I think I prefer the uncalibrated image. It's more 'natural'.
Out again tonight.
