Enlil, God of storms and he who separates heaven from earth: for building your great ark that saved the animals and mankind from the great flood, I grant you, Ziusudra of Shuruppak, eternal life

Ziusudra: awesome. now to make sure everyone remembers it was me, Ziusudra, who saved us with that ark

This short clip explains how comparing ancient flood myths proves that the Biblical tale of Noa's Ark is a much later exaggeration and embellishment of the actual flood of the Euphrates at Shuruppak in around 2900 BCE.

Rejoice, children of Goon. One of the three great Gooning artifacts of Shuruppak has been recovered! If combined with the other two Goonero will emerge from the catacombs and take his rightful place as ruler.

"Utnapishtim, whose name means "he has found life," was a legendary king of Shuruppak, an ancient city in Mesopotamia. He is best known for his role in the flood narrative within the Epic of Gilgamesh, where he is depicted as the sole survivor of a divine flood sent to destroy humanity." Wikipedia

One of the earliest attestations of the name Gilgamesh (or here Bilgames, 𒀭𒄑𒉈𒉽𒂵𒈩), on a lexical tablet from Shuruppak listing divine names, 26th–25th c. BCE.

...and in any case a flagrant copyright violation. This is an earlier version, part of the Gilgamesh epic in Akkadian, but even this isn't the oldest; the original is Sumerian. "Noah" is called Utnapishtim (or Atrahasis, or Ziusudra, depending on the text) and lives in the city of Shuruppak.

In Mesopotamian myth, the god Enki warns Utnapishtim, King of Shuruppak, that the god Enlil plans to flood the earth because humans have become too noisy. Enki instructs him to build a boat so he can save himself, his relatives, & all the earth's species. #MythologyMonday

I’m proud to introduce Urlang (𒋀𒀊𒅴)! Finally you can program in cuneiform!

Smart Contracts? Don’t use Ethereum. Cuneiform will be around long after your blockchain has died! AI review bots? Cuneiform has been roasting products since the dawn of written language. Or just write apps for a BabyloNokia

So a park dedicated to the Sumerian King Ziusudra of Shuruppak, who warned by the god Enki that the Gods wanted to destroy man with a flood. So instructed to build a big boat to save man & animals.

Good that Ky is honoring the culture & history of the first civilization.

Akkadian fot Utnapishtim.

Uta-napishtim is the eighth of the antediluvian kings in Mesopotamian legend.

He would have lived around 2900 BC, corresponding to the flood deposit at Shuruppak between the Jemdet Nasr and Early Dynastic levels.
