Well, I haven’t read the article but there are sipmask attachments that can allow for drinking through a straw while keeping the seal. I have done this on flights.

I'm generally not shy about being the only masked person in spaces, but this is my first time using a SipMask ( for a coworker's going away party at a brewery). Definitely placed the valve too low. Hope it's not too awkward.

Of course! I was pulling my mask up and down all the time, and the wear and tear was wrecking my masks. But SipMask has this little knob on the front so you don't wreck your mask or hurt your hand!

Probably a silly idea - I saw someone put a sipmask in an elastomeric and I wondered - I’ve had the oxygen through the thin tubes which could maybe go thru a sipmask somehow?

No. You get mask breaks. You can use a sip valve and you can find a mask that is the most comfortable for you.
There are HCWs who choose to do this bc their patients come first.

No. You get mask breaks. You can use a sip valve and you can find a mask that is the most comfortable for you.
There are HCWs who choose to do this bc their patients come first.

Yes, I do use SipMask. Longest was 20 hours and my face was hurting quite a lot. Now, I pack a Breathe elastomeric to switch into for comfort on longer journeys. Sip stays in an Aura N95.

Mein Mann hat sich heute (widerwillig) gegen Covid impfen lassen. Er wollte sich erst an d STIKO Empfehlung halten. Man bin ich froh, dass er d nicht gemacht hat. Montag Flug nach Stockholm, dann Ägypten, dann Oslo, dann Italien, dann USA…

Prior to 2020, I had been hospitalized 2X for more than a week with pneumonia. Since 2020, with masking and good hand hygiene, I have not only not had the symptomatic covid, I haven't had a cold or flu.
