I am wondering where he will move to next. Packing up his spaceports will take a large amount of luggage. LOL

Devlog: "EXPLORER". Approaching asteroid fields with the autopilot.
These fields are usually found near planets where you can mine metal to repair your spaceship or sell it at spaceports or in cities on the planet's surface.

Love the imagery of his late '60s and '70s stuff - deserted spaceports, dried out swimming pools and Charles Manson projected into the night sky.

I have been in meetings for most of the day. Did anyone manage to establish the economic benefits of Liz’s Truss’s spaceports and the various missions to Mars if the Bank of England had not intervened? @rolandmcs.bsky.social ? @mrjamesob.bsky.social ? @samfr.bsky.social ? @number10cat.bsky.social ?

The FAA also announced a new rule that would allow private companies such as SpaceX and Blue Origin to bypass more than a dozen regulations, including the Endangered Species Act and the Clean Water Act, when applying for launch permits or construction of new spaceports. 4/

No AI. I drew these using artist pens on drawing paper ("Things in the Swamp" is so early it was done before I switched to using Bristol board) or Bristol board, then I scanned the completed ink drawings and cleaned them up digitally.

Interiors for Seokguh Syndicate warehouses are severely underutilized and could be a good thing to use as a POI. Seokguh Dispensaries? Small incognito import/export spaceports throughout the systems. Extension of the abandoned/watery chasmbass idea.

Actually a high northern (or southern) latitude is better to launch into polar orbit, hence spaceports being built in places like Shetland and Norway.

Perhaps if people like you had been a bit more patriotic, instead of bleating on about things like woke and crashing the economy with unfunded tax cuts for those earning over £125k, we would now have spaceports.

There were 175 orbital launch attempts last year from #CapeCanaveral Space Force Station and Kennedy Space Center in Florida and #vandenberg Space Force Base in California. #spaceforce officials project the country’s established #spaceports will need to support 700 launches per year 📈 by 📆 2036.

Doesn't seem like spaceports are the issue. The rockets are the hard part.

Have just finished playing a game of Solar Nations 2 where I did in fact have Britain rush spaceports (oh - and flew up the medical side of the tech tree fast enough that Keir Starmer had a project lifespan of 400 and was still alive when we started colonising nearby stars).

We should be more ambitious when planning for our impending spaceports. It should not be a patched-together collection of partial solutions. Here is a window of what might be possible in four years.

🇨🇦 I hadn’t heard anything about this. In fact I was really skeptical, so I Googled it. We actually have TWO spaceports under construction. One in Nova Scotia and one in Newfoundland and Labrador. The Nova Scotia facility is targeting launches starting in 2028. Let’s GO! 🇨🇦
Canada first 🍁
