I’m so proud of this! It’s my first usable skein of handspun yarn. Also the first time I spin and ply so many meters of yarn. It still has some thick and thin spots, not perfect by any means but it’s knittable 😅

A year ago, the singles were spun. Today, I finished skeining, which I finished plying end of Apr. Stats: Started Oct 2021, half spun in a week, remainder spun in Jul and Aug 2022, in Nov 2023, and May 2024. 404 yards two-ply wool. 225 g, 8 oz. #SlowFashion #HandSpun #SpindleSpun #KeepSpinning

The HipStrings Buoy fiber is ready for plying. I've been slow to return to using a plying ball because previously I did not wind one tight enough, resulting in uneven tension that seemed to get worse as I went along. Let's see how this one goes...

Day 20 of #tourdefleece was another slow spinning one. The weather was gorgeous, the raspberries were ripe, and they absolutely are not thornless. The price for my delicious raspberries is uncomfortable spinning for the next couple days.
Carding is helping this one muchly.
