I went all the way through the very badly written #StoryofPearlGirl because I adore the two leads. My most favourite of actors on this planet. I'd watch them watching paint dry tbh.

I don't expect other people to have the same opinion as me but on open forum you can't avoid differing POVs. I thought #StoryofPearlGirl was a yawn fest also but because it had my two favourite actors in it I endured to the bitter end. Luckily I didn't have to do that with Flourished Peony.

I'm watching. Why on earth either of them agreed to a script that is so obviously mini drama melodrama slop is truly puzzling but I'm enjoying it ... because they're in it ... otherwise it is such a GOD NO. #Overdo is overdone!!! Wasn't the gorgeous intro to #StoryofPearlGirl AI?

Atualização: depois de parar de ver alguns dias por raiva do personagem, ela encontra-se completamente apaixonada. Cada cena é um tadinho diferente, ouve a música do querido sem parar e não fala de outra coisa a não ser Liu Yuning (correta).

Yes, he’s would be a good fit for a bad boy in a modern drama - but I’ve liked him in the historicals I’ve seen him in - eg #TheLongBallad, #StoryofPearlGirl, #PrisonerofBeauty, etc - so I think he can do both.

The intro art is, like #StoryofPearlGirl, is exquisite. Pretty sure it's AI-generated but Chinese graphic artists really excel at this. Plus I know from generating Heian era Japanese images for XRimmersive projects, the draw is from classical work & museums, not robbing present-day artists.

I loved his songs first too. My first drama was LongBallad and he was doing great ! I watched StoryOfPearlGirl but dropped because I got to depressing... that's all I've seen him so far...

I thought we had lol. Loved #StoryofPearlGirl but seriously pissed at the ending. WHY. As someone once remarked, #LiuYuning, like Sean Bean, used to be his own spoiler as you knew he'd die. Thankfully no longer a guarantee. [Doing good, thanks. Doc gave me withdrawal schedule with Solpadeine.]
