Yesterday I realized that the #FreeBSD 13.5 vm use for syslog-ng development and testing is end of life. So, wearing my favorite FreeBSD #daemon t-shirt I rebuilt my environment on FreeBSD 15.0, and even successfully built #syslog_ng from a git snapshot :-)

As expected: syslog-ng works fine on it :-)

Version 4.12.0 of syslog-ng is not yet available in #FreeBSD ports. If you need the latest #syslog_ng quickly, you can also use my test repo from github.com/czanik/freeb... This is what is normally committed to ports with minimal modifications. Or wait a bit more for the official commit.
