My TF536 in my A2000 quit working on a trip (probably fractured solder somewhere).

So of course I went ahead and swapped it for a truly vintage GVP 33 MHz '030. This thing's so retro it's got an 8-bit IDE port.

I don't think the TerribleFire TF536 boards have room to accommodate an FPU.

I'm ill with a cold or Covid or something, but I've got the parts to upgrade an revision 6A #Amiga 500, to what will essentially be an Amiga 500+.

2MB RAM, Super Denise, Kickstart 3.2.3, Real Time Clock and AmigaOS 3.2.3.

There's a TF536 on it's way, and I need to chose a floppy emulator for it...

I've spent the afternoon putting an Amiga 500 REV6A in a black case only to find out the keyboard isn't a Mitsumi, so the black keycaps won't fit!

The planned upgrades for this particular 500 are a TF536, 2MB RAM, Kickstart 3.2 and a Super Denise. I'm going to keep this one for pure games.

This week on 10MARC I am upgrading my Commodore CDTV with the "unofficial" 2.35 ROM, which add some great features and options! I am also upgrading her to Amiga OS 3.2 and adding Stephen Leary's great TerribleFire 536 accelerator.

Oh my… ce refrain un poil répétitif et agressif pour les oreilles ! Mais c’était une bonne machine pour son époque, avec un vraiment OS multitâches, une excellente architecture, intéressante à coder en assembleur. J’ai toujours mon A2000B ECS 2MB, rafraîchi avec OS3.2, Gotek, TF536 et ZZ9000.

Risked it on AliExpress as the required CPLD to build a Terrible fire TF536 are discontinued and seriously hard to find. Acetone turned the cotton buds slightly black, but cleaning it back up with IPA, the markings were still there. Guess I'll need to try and program one! #amiga #retrocomputing
