This drama had so much potential but went downhill due to ridiculous plots and noble idiocy 🙄. It was interesting in the beginning and I was invested and but towards the end, it began to drag and I skipped few episodes trust to complete the drama.

I liked #ThePrincessGambit and recently rewatched it but it does get very silly towards the end.

I actually quite liked #InBlossom (although it’s not top-tier for me), & I’m one of the few who actually enjoyed #ThePrincessGambit 🙂 despite its very ropey final 3rd!

He’s also good in #KillMeLoveMe, although I couldn’t finish because of the tragic ending 😭

I’m reading the novel that #ThePrincessGambit is an adaptation of, and it’s the worst Chinese novel I’ve read. I loathe every character, especially the vulgar, classless, stupid female protagonist. Kudos to the Cdrama screenwriter for vastly improving the characters/plot! I’m enjoying the drama!

Oh I loved it! I think there he secretly, without knowing it, likes that she has gumption. She knows how to look at the bigger picture so letting go of the little schemes/“humiliation” is not a big deal to her. That will serve her well in this harem. #ThePrincessGambit

#ThePrincessGambit is catching my attention more than #ADreamWithinaDream. I don’t feel for the the plot line as much for the later, but I’m intrigued by how the princess will survive in the Minister’s home with those scheming concubines & the main wife who clearly is not as nice as she appears.

I think #ThePrincessGambit it’s about four episodes from the end and their relationship hasn’t solidified yet.

They’re also doing weird releases of episodes with long breaks in between or crammed altogether

It’s like writers don’t know what to do with pacing/trying to get season two out faster

I just wasn't drawn into #ThePrincessGambit #ADreamWithinADream or #InTheNameofBlossom

So I'm rewatching #TheStoryofMingLan

And thoroughly enjoying watching it

I think the 40 episode cap is doing far more harm than good

I'm honestly having trouble watching this one as well as #ThePrincessGambit and even #InTheNameofBlossom a bit

Each have their problems: too silly & confusing or way too much angst (especially crammed into a few episodes)

Maybe it's just bc it's a rough month/time for me...I don't know

I gave episode 1 of #ThePrincessGambit a shot tonight. It looks pretty intense - I'm hanging in there for now :)

Once again, I couldn't AirPlay from my phone to my Roku on the Tencent\WeTV app...sigh

Mulling over giving #ADreamWithinADream a shot....
