Some parts arrived, two keyboard membranes and some bits to improve the toastrack. I won’t try to fix the bad memory chip until the weekend, but with a working keyboard I can at least test other stuff #RetroComputing

Received three speccys two +s and one toastrack.
The toastrack doesn’t look to be in the greatest condition, slightly messed up rainbow badge, yellowed keys, paint scratched cooler and looks like something has melted the plastic - looks like a screw? Maybe the regulator was misplaced somehow? 🧵

Received three speccys two +s and one toastrack.

I have a poorly +2, thought perhaps the ROM in is ok.. Well it is!
I now have a Toastrack that identifies as a +2, but that'll do for now - can get a replacement toastie ROM I'm sure

You could consider that a successful outing. Couple of Eggsbox games and tucked away with the PC keyboards and hairdryers a freaking Toastrack!

Toastrack restored and working beautifully. Need to order some DIN8 connectors though, the RGB cables are ugly.

I think a £2 toastrack Speccy is certainly on a par with, if not beats, my £12 Vectrex. Can anyone beat this?
