50% me & 50% pollinators 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
I look after them by having something flowering in the garden all year around (with the help of mild winters) 🌷🪻🌻🌹

I picked pretty much the last of the tomatoes at the weekend. Always a sad feeling, but lots of tomato sauce in the freezer & we’ve enjoyed these for the last couple of days 😋🍅🌿

The tomato harvest is seriously slowing now 🙁🍅
Tomatoes are the first food I ever grew - a long time ago! And still my favourite 🍅🍅🍅🌿
I will miss eating them every day, but look forward to the tomato sauce in the freezer through winter 😋

I really thought this tomato was going to break my existing weight record, set a good few years ago by a ‘brandywine’ at 716g, but it’s 20g short!
It was bought as ‘gourmansun’ last year but isn’t, so I’ve named it ‘orange sunshine’ & it’s delicious 🧡🙃🌿

Chillies & Tomatoes, off & running 🌶️🍅
I’m so relieved to have got the seedlings into the greenhouse. The window sills were full to bursting. I may have sown a few too many….. 😬🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

The SlWRKY42–SlMYC2 module synergistically enhances tomato saline–alkali tolerance by activating the jasmonic acid signaling and spermidine biosynthesis pathway
The tomato transcription factors SlWRKY42 and SlMYC2 enhance the transcription of the spermine synthase gene SlSPDS2, leading to increased spermidine accumulation. Additionally, SlWRKY42 boosts the t...
