amen. adaptation, not transliteration. look at any fandom to see what kind of analytical skill brittle, slavish adherence to a text gets you.
I’m going to write an essay about not caring about adaptations are faithful retelling of the books, because what I’m more interested in is what the writers and directors can do with it. Literary nerds making that complaint is as annoying as comic book nerds whine about it.

Please stop writing CCCP unless your entire text is in Cyrillic. The correct transliteration is SSSR, or you can translate it as USSR. That's all I wanted to say. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
