Those with many kinds of totally tubular homes, now have a new home.

A while ago SFG finished the migration of decades of cataloging effort from John Morse and friends.

This morning the SFG team met with 11 #Trichoptera taxonomists from around the world in an introduction to TW and that data.

A fun couple of days working on by-catch including lots of Trichoptera (Caddis Flies) a few Neuroptera (Lacewings), one chunky Megaloptera (Alder Fly) and a couple of Plecoptera (Stoneflies). More records for the client, beyond Diptera. A close up of Agrypnia varia below dipteraid.co.uk/projects/

That's wonderful! We talked today in Naomi Pierce's lab group about you!

Is there a recent summary of total Lep phylogenyfrom Trichoptera all the way to silk moths? The last illustrative phylogeny I liked was in Mitter et al. 2017, but surely there's a more recent one?

I found this Caddisfly on my deck, after a cold and windy night. Do Caddisflies count for #FlyDay? I hope so!

デンマークとバルト海の始新世の琥珀中に含まれるトビケラの仲間の種類の違い、これは生態学の視点から見ても面白いかもしれませんね。

I thought we had a new moth to our Perth Hills garden light... turns out it was actually a Caddis Fly!

This also led me to learn about the superorder Amphiesmenoptera, which contains both Lepidoptera and Trichoptera

Wunderbar 😍
