Higgs v Farmor's School is out. A victory for the claimant. The CA judgment is mega-long for the CA (181 paras) but you can skip to para 175 for the "broad summary" if you wish (though Underhill LJ stresses it's no substitute for a careful read!

Today is the day the time limit for employment tribunal claims to be submitted is increased to six months (though equal pay and redundancy pay were always 6 months). This is subject to the ACAS early conciliation period. #UKEmpLaw

I just used Blue Thread to type out a lovely 1st thread for Blue Sky on a #ukemplaw case, the important same disadvantage indirect discrimination case of BA v Rollett (shorturl.at/grgec) but alas I then accidentally delated it! 🤦 In short, the EAT found s.19 construed consistently with CHEZ

The Supreme Court's judgment in Saudi Arabia v Constantine is out, on the application of state immunity to ancillary & supportive admin roles, dismissing Saudi Arabia's appeal and holding that State immunity didn't apply to C's discrimination claims.
