Both knife crime and homicides are falling in London. This is thanks to our record funding in the Met, targeted police action and vital prevention work through London’s VRU. But there is still much more to do, which is why we won’t let-up in our work to build a safer London for everyone.

Youth clubs like Avenues Youth Project do incredible work with young Londoners to keep them safe and help them thrive. My London VRU is funding sport and physical activity sessions like this during the holidays and throughout the year to ensure young people have access to positive opportunities.
