Virginia Water was poor part of Egham & parishioners attended St John. 1837 £2,000 gifted for church & vicarage on condition only 1/5 pews rented whilst rest were available to the poor. Further funds came from locals & even Queen Victoria #TBT

Todays 19 miler was about pace, distance, different terrain & breaking the new #Asics #Trabuco trail trainers in. A stunning #Hike from #SavilleGardens through #VirginiaWater, down #LongWalk #Windsor, & along the #Thames back.Well happy with 5 1/2 hrs,even had time to stop at the King's supermarket!
