At 14, I learned the Wesleyans (the church I belonged to) had split off from the Methodists.
The reason? "We believe it's inappropriate to dance in church."
And take a wild guess about what time period the split occurred.
I'd seen enough Gospel Choirs on TV to immediately understand why.

I'm not going to be able to control my hyperverbal ADHD via anxiety without the kind of stress that the body keeps score of. BUT I work toward sanctification, as we Wesleyans like to say, and trust that God's grace is going to meet me there, to be more loving from the inside out. Hard but worth it.

... or Yale. Chicago in your 20s is hard to beat. Maybe the solution is not to go to law school at all? Anyway I'd rather keep Violet away from the freaks. Stick to blue state flagships state U's, Oberlins, Wesleyans, things of that nature. Bryn Mawr and so forth.

Continuing on the Mackem church themes just down the road at Ashbrooke, with one of the most stunning Wesleyan places of worship you'll ever see. Though often more opulent than their Primitive counterparts, you generally don't see many Gothic Wesleyans to the scale of their Anglican cousins.

I was a disappointment because I did not go to nearby Indiana Wesleyan, the approved school for Wesleyans.
