WIC runs out this week
WIC. They are pausing WIC.
That's the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. Last time I checked (a while ago), every dollar spent on WIC produced over a dollar in savings *in the same fiscal year.* For most people, though, feeding infants and mothers is enough.

I was a WIC baby. The contributions I have made to science and beyond are thanks in part to WIC.
I woke up angry and PISSED because they are canceling WIC .
WIC and food stamps and I know for some of you it’s cute to pretend that you never used them
But that’s how I got through the 80’s
I absolutely get to be mad at organizer/ writers activists who ignored this
