An Elizabethtown man accused of gunning a man down outside his home before fleeing from the police is heading to court, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office. On March 31, a judge ruled that Bradley Yinger, 27, will have his case heard in court after the police claimed he shot a 24-year-old man in the chest on the front porch after a night of drinking. The shooting happened around 11:54 p.m. on March 7 in the first block of Beech Lane, according to an affidavit. At the scene, the police said they found Tyler Halbleib lying on the front porch where a woman was applying pressure to a bloody wound in his chest. PREVIOUS | Suspect in Elizabethtown homicide arrested after fleeing scene, getting into wreck: police Despite extensive life-saving efforts, Halbleib ultimately died from his wounds around 1:35 a.m. in what the coroner's office ruled to be a homicide. The woman who tried to save Halbleib reportedly told the police that Yinger had been drinking that night and started arguing with everyone, according to a news release. Surveillance footage showed Yinger and Halbleib arguing, leading to Yinger grabbing a gun from his car, the police said. He supposedly said, "I put guns on you" while pointing the gun at him before shooting. After fleeing, Yinger ended up getting into a crash with a tractor-trailer in East Donegal Township just after midnight, the police noted. He was taken to a hospital in Lancaster County before being incarcerated. The district attorney's office noted that Yinger is due back in court at 9 a.m. on April 24.
