Hackleton saw Freddy, our amazing farrier, yesterday, for a residual hoof clean up where the abscess was. It’s been slightly trimmed again near the frog to provide more air. Two weeks without rain would do it well! Keep those prayers coming!

When Hackleton gets over his abscess, he'll be back to arena work! He loves doing small jumps. And he's technically efficient at them.

It is so thrilling to do right in the best triage care possible to allow a horse to heal. We ALL came together to help heal Hackleton’s abscess! We did it and we will continue with ongoing and sporadic care to prevent future abscesses, especially with Hackleton’s shivers. Thank you to all of us!

Chonky boy came out of surgery without complications and missing 6 teeth (resorption, broken, abscess). He keeps trying to make friends with his reflection in the glass door. Satan is being nicer than usual to him, so she's planning violence.

Was hoping go get the Halloyeen piece done over the past week. Truth was I was very sick for the last 5 days and finally woke up today unable to breathe. Wanted to avoid this because no health insurance but whelp here I am. Turns out its a peritonsillar abscess, and started blocking my airway.

I have examined and recorded data from a few Medieval horse skulls, and there are dental caries, abscess evidence in the maxilla bone, shear mouth and wavy tooth too. Medieval times in Ireland wasn’t all sunshine and diasies for an animals. Likely there will be a horse paper but a zooarch bone one.

Tooth infection/ abscess. Sedated, pain meds, lanced and tooth pulled (just a lil tiny one, they let us keep it) they said she was so good and sweet. She got some medicine to take for a little while. We're all exhausted now, but she's okay 💜 I keep crying because I didn't even know she was sick
At emergency vet for my baby doggo Maze this time. Really scared for her, her entire face and neck swelled up in a really short period of time and we don't know why

It's going to suck, but much like a lot of other things in our society, it first needs to pass before we can move forward with what needs to be done. Just letting the abscess grow bigger and bigger was just making things worse.
