The literature on #AllostaticLoad is increasingly damning. I have tried since 1993 to get a single research academic interested in me as a walking museum of proofs.
Nope. They do not give a single fuck and boy, does it show.
One day it will be known - capitalism harms... kills.

Weird how we're not seeing a flood of articles about how the widespread emotional neglect of children due to generational trauma from capitalism could be improved with a full system overhaul
This is a quietly metastasizing moral panic

Positive social experiences were associated with longer survival, while childhood adversity predicted shorter survival in a 1,309-person longitudinal cohort followed for nearly 15 years. Epigenetic ag...

There are teams around the world racing to understand & 'solve' for #AllostaticLoad -- Masking is allostatic load on autistic humans. Suppression @ this level, over time, breaks us.

Afterthought: This, to me, is a new civil & human rights issue. It is intersectional with every other currently defined, yet has its own continuum of behaviors, neuroconnectivity, and traits; which, depending on how long and deeply one has been masking and inflating #cortisol #allostaticLoad 🧵

In Canada, disabled humans 'recommended' euthanasia as valid option.
They'd rather you kill yourself than they need support the outcomes of living in transactional societies over decades.
The research on #allostaticload is in and it is damning.
This is pressure to just die already. Horrifying.
