Now you can use Cloudfront functions to manipulate origin values in requestw to Cloudfront which are much cheaper than Lambda @ Edge.

I do get it, but boycotting Amazon hurts the vendor, not Bezos. 70% of all worldwide traffic goes through one AWS centre in Virginia. Another 26% uses CloudFront (Amazon owned).

The whole world could stop shopping on Amazon, and Bezos wouldn't notice. That's not how his empire works now.

I was going to make a hilariously overcomplicated, wildly expensive WordPress architecture diagram, but AWS has already beaten me to it.
