В authy локальный бекап нельзя сделать, поэтому все вручную.
Но с другой стороны я бы не стал переносить в новый сервис то, что уже было в чужом облаке. Не очень безопасно.

Ich nutze Posteo eMail seit 2021 und bin dank deines Posts darauf aufmerksam geworden dass es noch weitere gute Auth Dienste gibt. Ich werde von Authy aber zu Ente Auth anstatt zu Proton Auth wechseln. Proton ist jetzt verbrannt

Danke für den Hinweis, dieses (Fehl-)Verhalten kannte ich noch nicht. In den nächsten Tagen werde ich meine OTP vom proprietären Authy zum quelloffenen Ente-Auth umziehen.

Been wanting to get rid of Authy for a while now as they are slowly enshittifying. The catch 22 is as they enshittify it makes it harder to move.

Been wanting to get rid of Authy for a while now as they are slowly enshittifying. The catch 22 is as they enshittify it makes it harder to move. They removed the option to export stuff a while back so I thought guess i need to bit the bullet and get out of here sooner rather than later. Well turns out with root you can just import them into Aegis and than export them to your new 2fa provider of choice. So that's what I did,I am happily moved over to Ente and using the Ducky extension for autofill .

FFXIV has 2FA, either through a physical token or through the companion app. Android and iOS both have both 2FA apps and password managers, which helps you avoid reusing passwords. Authy is a decent 3rd party option for 2FA as well. The point is, these tools are free and need to be used.

That obviously not good. How about adding proper app based 2FA support, like Authy, or even better, Passkeys? Also a good reminder to change my Blue Sky password.

Kickstarter doesn't take my password, now has the hated email code. I already have 2 factor set up with Authy. The flow today is 7 steps! enter email; click button to verify I'm human (WHAT); wait for email code to arrive; Let Safari enter that; get prompted for 2FA code; launch Authy; type in code

Oh? I've used authy and as long as I set a password I was able to get all my stuff back when transferring phones. Didn't know they have no normal export.
