This is getting passed around a lot because of the way it's worded but it's important to note that researchers have not shown any such thing - they have shown that mice with similar biomarkers can have those biomarkers reversed. No human testing has occurred and shown recovery of cognition & memory.
GOOD NEWS! Researchers have shown Alzheimer’s disease can be REVERSED- not just prevented. Using a potent neuroprotective compound called P7C3-A20, they found RESTORING balance to a central cellular energy molecule (NAD+) not only PREVENTED disease features but REVERSED them, EVEN at late stages.

Presenting #LongCovid as a disease "without biomarkers" is a way to minimize the disease entity. Making it a "mystery", some "fatigue", "unexplained symptoms". Yet, everyone who reads the scientific literature knows that a rich palette of biomarkers are associated with LC

Only a subset of patients respond to immunotherapy

Why? Which ones?

We conducted an unbiased analysis of response biomarkers and found that hundreds of possible biomarkers collapse into five latent, orthogonal factors that underlie immunotherapy response.

Oh wow, I just saw this news.

Australia's TGA has approved a clinical trial of a blood test that can identify biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease two decades before symptoms appear, allowing intervention strategies.

I hope this goes well. This could improve millions of lives globally.

I have just read this WIRED article on Long Covid and it keep repeating one claim: "the absence of biomarkers". I'd like to add a fact check: There *are* biomarkers and they are being researched. So for many Long Covid symptoms we can *measure* differences. Example: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
