ngl, it's depressing to see a few IGF entries this year either leveraging (for free voice acting) or built entirely around, "AI".

Obviously I don't expect moral purity out of as wide-ranging a competition as IGF but when blockchain companies did this a few years back it was more like a funny joke.

NFTs and blockchain were the same thing, and now those are dead. Its all just buzzwords to give the illusion of future progress in order to secure more venture funding based on misconceptions. Late stage capitalism is a competition on who can build the tallest house of cards. But it'll collapse.

TL;DR: There's nothing economically decentralized about crypto, blockchain, DeFi. If you believe decentralization hype, it's because you want to (probably because you're cool with unregulated economic power).

This argument that no one puts in work to make games can only really even apply to people who steal assets, make games as blockchain or NFT wrappers, or release straight up broken games and don't fix them.
Most people try. They don't always succeed because there's SO MUCH competition. But they try.
