While it’s Texas doing age verification today, it could be Trump attacking your service tomorrow. Now would be a good time for organisations to think about how they would move their services to ccTLDs if necessary.

I like *.offprint.ink tbh, my personal philosophy is that TLDs are best when they're a single syllable or a 2-3 letter acronym (CCTLDs or .diy or such)

This is basically why I’ve always been wary of ccTLDs owned by dictatorships, repressive regimes and/or failed states. People use the .ly domain for a lot of stuff, and I’m just like “Libya? Really?”

It's more about using ccTLDs vs putting the country-code in the URL. For some, having the sites clearly country-separated is important. For most, I think it doesn't matter so much.

imo this is a great lesson on why people shouldn't use ccTLDs from random countries just because the letters happen to mean something in English

great decision (hope the redirects are all working well)! ccTLDs feels nice being short at times but def adds future risk, even if current regime/gov isn’t sus.
