I have half the mind to change to a Kaiser Plat plan from CoveredCA. Sure the premiums is $550/mo but copay would drop to $15, Rx cost to $59/mo, AND I wouldn't have to fight UnitedHealthcare over claims. Sure its ~$125/mo more expensive but I paid $2k in prev approved/later denied claims last year.

One thing positive I will say about Kaiser tho, they helped me convince CoveredCa that I absolutely *had* to have 400cc implants 😬

Our premium went from $400/mo, with CoveredCA subsidies to $2500/mo, without. The cheapest policy we can find anywhere is $3000/mo. My husband and I have no insurance since January

Robert, I'm curious on your stance on Medicare for All after seeing what the Trump administration has done this past year (and the previous administration.) They've been very successful in one point - I'll never again trust that we can have a reliable Federal government. I'm happy to have CoveredCA.

Yeah, CA was actually covering 100% of the deductible for lower income enrollees the past few years; this year they had to scrap that program in order to use the money to instead backfill the lost federal tax credits for enrollees < 150% FPL:
