Don't think it's particularly weird if they give you the info. When someone gives me their address, I look it up on Google Streetview and "walk" around the neighborhood, saying things like "nice, separated bike lanes" and "great! properly daylighted intersections with ped-xing bumpouts 👍"

Yeah I definitely saw how the street design enforced the 20 mph limit. Lots of one way streets with parking on one side plus a bike lane, daylighted intersections, and cycle tracks where they fit. Very enjoyable to ride around sightseeing the infrastructure (I'm so weird)

Waymos are constantly blocking bikelanes, occupying daylighted curbs, sitting in crosswalks, and running red lights. All of these behaviors are dangerous, and they are getting steadily worse on this. These behaviors put cyclists and pedestrians in harms way.

Really good to see this problem daylighted. Applicants are rightly frustrated they don't get even a form reply while organisations are drowning in submissions. All the while the main online job site massively hiked its prices to account for its AI filtering tool you need to deal with the overwhelm

It was only protests from the wealthy neighbourhood of Glenora that stopped the city from paving over the McKinnon Ravine and turning it into another commuter artery.
Had we daylighted the entirety of Mill Creek 6 years ago, would it have flooded this summer?

Intersection daylighting is when obstacles are removed from the corners of intersections about 6 m out from each corner, which most often means drivers are prevented from parking in these areas. Pedestrians are safer at intersections where corners are daylighted because drivers can better see them.

There are absolutely (if not most) traffic engineers who would rather burn that money on a PSA than make 5 intersections safer and affect traffic flow.

Here's a good example of that from this morning in Tacoma's Hilltop, where local motorists use a lot of creativity and dumb luck to squeeze into daylighted parking spaces adjacent to the J Street Greenway.

They built the park by filling in the lake. My photo tags show I’m way out in the lake (haven’t updated the map app yet) and they daylighted a creek at the end to create this incredible wetland. It brings tears to my eyes to see the rich habitat being occupied by so many species already. See below…
