Do #digipres orgs conduct a quality check at ingest, and do they re-assess quality at various stages? We found that a majority of respondents carry out quality checks upon ingest, but that far fewer conduct subsequent checks. Checking is a complex area that we’re investigating further. #wdpd2026

What exactly does long-term preservation of data mean? Our survey, including respondents from museums, archives and repositories, suggests 48% of organisations have no specific definition of “long-term” - a challenge for creating generalised guidelines and protocols for #digipres. #wdpd2026

I am extremely interested in this question from a digipres perspective (on top of the Emotional Wreckage). What do those files even look like, are they just yes/no config files for the story decision branches? It is a yaml file?

Trying to find old (2001-2002 era) versions of the #cygwin /X distribution and having only limited success. I did manage to find a partial fileset for v4.1.0 (ca. July 2001) that seems to have the client binaries, libs and headers, but not the server.
